Wildlife is not only a national asset but a heritage which we have to pass on to our coming generations. To sensitize the children about how to safeguard wildlife and endangered species, an activity “Go Wild to Save Wildlife” was organized by the Pre-primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh.
The children were shown a powerpoint presentation and videos in order to acquaint them with the threats faced by endangered species of animals and the need to preserve wildlife. They were also apprised with the steps taken by the people and the government to protect the dwindling population of wild animals and their habitats. A mask making activity was conducted with an aim to make the students familiar with the endangered animals. The main objective of these activities was to promote social responsibility and to raise awareness about the species of animals that are severely endangered so that we can timely do our bit to save them before they become extinct.
