To make children aware about the importance of eating right, a sorting activity on healthy and unhealthy food was conducted on October 9, 2025 for the Nursery students of DPS, Chandigarh. The activity began with a short discussion on different kind of food that keep us strong and healthy and those which are not good for the body. Children brought picture cards of various food items like fruits, vegetables, milk, chocolates, chips, cold drinks etc. They were asked to carefully observe pictures and sort them into two categories. To make it more fun, two handmade boxes were prepared, one labelled ‘Healthy Food’ and other ‘Unhealthy Food’. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their understanding of healthy eating habit but also developed their classification skills. Overall, the activity was enjoyable and meaningful, as it helped the little ones understand the value of choosing healthy food for a strong body and happy life.
