Delhi Public School, Chandigarh proudly hosted its much awaited annual event, Samvidhi 7.0 - The Legal Conclave, on 24th and 25th July 2025.

The two-day event, a celebration of legal consciousness and excellence, drew an impressive participation of around 300 students of classes IX to XII from the tri-city schools and regional areas.

This mega event brought together an illustrious guest list comprising Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson of the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on the inaugural day. Mr Mohammad Tayyab, I.A.S. Secretary to Government of Punjab was the Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony. They lauded the school's efforts in empowering the future generation with knowledge of their rights and duties. 

Day One featured a range of competitions and activities, including Curia Simulata (The Moot Court), Breaking Barriers- Walk the Talk, One Planet Summit, National Crisis Committee (NCC), Interaction with Intellectuals, and Theatrum Platea (Street Play). These activities fostered teamwork, stimulated healthy competition, and provided a platform for students to showcase their skills. 

Day Two witnessed the Round 2 and Round 3 of most of the competitive events which included exhilarating Street Plays and Ramp Walk highlighting current social issues. The semifinalists endured intense grilling and challenging rebuttals of the Judges with intriguing and provocative responses.

Director, Mrs. Reema Dewan emphasized the importance of such events in challenging mindsets and promoting legal awareness, explained the origins of our legal framework, and highlighted the responsibility of individuals—within the family, society, and nation—in upholding justice and protecting fundamental rights.

The event was a huge success, thanks to the invaluable insights, unwavering support, and encouragement from a group of exceptional experts and judges. 

The Overall Best School Trophy was won by Delhi Public School, Chandigarh but, being the host school, the trophy was passed on to Kundan Vidyamandir, Ludhiana along with the Cash Prize of Rs 10,000. 

The event offered students a dynamic platform to engage with legal experts, deepen their understanding of law, and promote legal literacy, ethics, and human values through an enriching and empowering experience.
