An educational visit to the Meteorological Department, Sector 39, Chandigarh, was organized on *Monday, 13th October 2025* for the students of Class VIII. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of weather forecasting and the instruments used for measuring various atmospheric conditions.

On reaching the department, students were warmly welcomed by the officials, who guided them through different sections of the facility. They were shown various instruments such as barometers, rain gauges, thermometers, and anemometers, and their uses were explained in detail. The students also observed how data is collected, recorded, and analyzed to predict weather patterns and issue forecasts.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students asked questions about climate change, rainfall prediction, and satellite-based weather monitoring. The visit proved to be a highly informative and enriching experience, linking classroom learning with real-world applications.
