Class V organised Hindi Language Competition: “Vartini Gyan Pratiyogita”

To enhance Hindi vocabulary and language skills, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh , organized the “Vartini Gyan Pratiyogita” competition for Class 5 students on February 10, 2025. The final round took place in the school auditorium.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025

The students and teachers of classes 6 to 12 of Delhi Public School Chandigarh witnessed the eighth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC), conducted by our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 10th Feb 2025. It is an annual interactive session aimed at alleviating exam-related stress among students, parents, and teachers.
The event commenced at 11 AM and introduced a novel format spanning eight episodes. The inaugural episode featured PM Modi’s direct interaction with participants, while the subsequent seven episodes are set to showcase insights from distinguished personalities across various fields, offering guidance on life and learning.

During the session, PM Modi emphasized the importance of a nutritious diet for students, advising the inclusion of superfoods to maintain health and energy levels.
Addressing concerns about exam-related anxiety, the Prime Minister encouraged students to focus on holistic development rather than solely aiming for academic success. He urged them to remain focused, avoid distractions, and view examinations as opportunities to challenge themselves. PM Modi also shared personal anecdotes, revealing that his motivation stems from the aspirations and determination of the nation’s youth.

Class Nursery organised ‘Creative Colour Exploration: A Fun-Filled Activity’

To enhance the children’s understanding of colors, an engaging hands-on activity was conducted for the tiny tots of class Nursery. The young learners used droppers to carefully place different colours onto their worksheets. They then excitedly blew through straws, watching in delight as the colours spread and blended, creating vibrant and unique patterns. This artistic experiment not only sparked their creativity but also helped them explore the magic of colour mixing. The result was a stunning display of beautifully crafted, colourful jellyfish, making the learning experience both fun and memorable.

National Level Online Psychology Quiz

Success is not just about winning, but about the dedication and effort put into learning. Two brilliant students from Delhi Public School (DPS) have showcased exceptional talent in the field of psychology. Mehar Walia, a Grade XI student, and Shreya, from Grade XII, participated in the prestigious UNI-QUIZ 2024, India’s National Level Online Psychology Quiz. Their remarkable performance not only highlighted their dedication and hard work but also earned them the coveted gold medal and a certificate of excellence.Both students have proven their academic prowess and their deep understanding of psychology, emerging as shining examples of academic excellence. This accomplishment is a proud moment for DPS, and we celebrate their achievement with great joy.

Class VI organised ‘Poster & Collage Making Competition’

On 3rd February, 2025, students of Class 6 participated in a Poster and Collage Making Competition focusing on SDG Goal 10: Reducing Inequalities.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing inequalities within and among countries. The objective of the competition was to encourage students to think creatively about the ways to address inequalities and promote inclusivity, equality, and sustainable development.

All students in our class participated enthusiastically in the competition, working individually or in groups to create posters and collages that depicted their understanding of SDG Goal 10.
The posters and collages were judged based on their creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall presentation.

The posters and collages created by the students effectively conveyed the message of reducing inequalities and promoting inclusivity.

Samaaira Bedi, Class VI A took an active part in the *World Car-Free Day initiative, celebrated on 22nd September 2024 organised by group CYCLEGIRI in association with Chandigarh Tourism!

As part of this global effort to raise awareness about environmental conservation, she rode 30 kilometers by bicycle.

This personal achievement is more than a physical challenge for her. She did this with the intention of spreading an important message to her peers, neighbors, and the community at large – to embrace eco-friendly habits and reduce our reliance on vehicles to help save our environment.

Her enthusiasm for this cause, combined with the support from her school’s values of environmental consciousness, has encouraged her to take such initiatives and share her message with others. She hopes to inspire more students and families to take part in similar activities in the future.

Suhani Sharma (Grade XII) selected for the National IRIS Fair

Suhani Sharma, Class XIIC, has secured a prestigious spot at the IRIS National Fair, a gateway to represent India at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Her project in Engineering Mechanics was chosen through a highly competitive selection process among the sixty innovative projects with thousands of students applying nationwide. The IRIS fair, expected in February, brings together the country’s brightest young innovators. Every year, online applications open in September.
