State Level Events

Shreya of class- VIII F bagged a Bronze medal each in 100 mts and 200 mts in UT Inter-school Athletic meet held at sector-7 Sports Complex from 14th to 16th January 2015.

Bhavika of class- VIII H bagged a Silver medal in discus throw event in UT Inter-school Athletic meet held at sector-7 Sports Complex from 14th to 16th January 2015.

Dhuv Kodan Sharma of Class- IXB  bagged a Gold medal each  in 100 mts U-17 category and in 200 mts U-17 category in UT Inter-school Athletic meet held at sector-7 Sports Complex from 14th to 16th January 2015. He was also declared ‘The Best Athlete’  in  U-17 category.

Pranav Chopra of class -VI D bagged the first position in the U-14 doubles and Runner’s Up position in U-12 Singles category in the Chamunda AITA Talent Series which was held from 12th to 15th January 2015.

Jaskeerat Singh of class-VIII C had participated in the 13th Parshavnath Grand Masters Tournament at Delhi from 9th to 16th January 2015. He achieved 27th rank out of 670 players by scoring 7.5 points out of 10. He also bagged the first prize in the U-15 category and received a cash prize of Rs 8000 and a certificate.

Adhish Beri and Raghav Dewan (Class IX) bagged the 2nd position in State level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition 2014-15. They received a cash prize of Rs 3100 for their presentation on Waste Management.

The DPS team comprising of Sanjana (Class XI), Harmandeep Singh (Class X) and Dyuti Chaudhary (Class X) were the semi-finalists in the Hansraj Parliamentary Debate held in November 2014

Shimantika Das (Class IX) & Sanket Jain (Class X) won the Second runners up trophy in the Inter-School Debate organised by Gurukul School on the topic “Success is the domain of the Book Smart and not Street Smart

Sanjana Arora (Class XI) and Dyuti Chaudhary (Class X) won the 1st prize in an Inter School Debate organised by DPS to celebrate Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’s Birthday on 31st October 2104 on the topic, “Unity in diversity in India is a reality”.

Sugandha Malik of class- III E bagged a Gold medal in sub-junior Taekwando Championship held at AKSIPS sector-45 Chandigarh which was held on 26th December 2014.

Our students participated in several workshops & competitions organised by TERI in the TRASH festival..Thinking, Reflecting and Acting for Sustainable Habitat.

Street play–2nd prize-Gift vouchers of rs 250/- for each participant.

Badge Designing–2nd prize-Jagjit singh Jolly (Class XI)- Gift voucher of Rs 500/-

Tetrelay–3rd Prize-Gift vouchers of Rs 200/- for each participant.

Our dance team bagged the First position in Inter DPS Dance Festival hosted by DPS Chd.

Ishaan Verma (Class XI) has been conferred the title “Young Reporter” for the session 2013-14 in the News Makers Meet organised by The Times Of India.

Our School team bagged the First Position in the State Level National Children’s Science Congress. The team comprised of Dyuti Chaudhary (X A), Neeti Sharma (X A), Arpit Singla (X B), Harshit Jindal (X E) and Harmandeep (X E)

Diksha of class- VD won a Silver medal in Chandigarh State Yogasan Championship which was organised in collaboration with Department of Physical Education held at Post Graduate Government college, sector-46 Chandigarh.
