State Level Events

Pranay Bansal of class 4B won the Runners Up title in U10 category in Tennis Tournament held at Satluj Public School sector 4 Panchkula from November 25, 2016 to November 26, 2016

Himanshu, Puneet and Aryan of Class 10B participated and got First position in Adidas Uprising Football Tournament held at Sector 17 Stadium from November 26, 2016 to November 27, 2016.

Arshiya of class 3D won two Silver medals in U 8-10 category in North Zone CBSE Skating Competition held at BDS Public School Ajnala from November 3,2016 to November 6, 2016. She also qualified for CBSE Nationals in the same event.

Our School team comprising of Esha Hooda (X-D), Smera Mehta (X-B), Ansh Ohri (IX-C) and Viren Talwar (IX-C) –Senior category ,got Second position in the 24th State Children’s Science Congress held on December 3, 2016 at National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Sector 26, Chandigarh.

They had presented their project titled “Green buildings for Sustainable Development” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”, with special emphasis on accessibility for persons with disability.

In the Junior category also, our School team comprising of Aaditya Sharma (VII-B), Vansh Bhandari (V-H) and Manhar Bawa (VI-H), got Second position.They had presented their project titled “Traditional Knowledge System” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”,

They will now participate in the 24th National Childrens’ Science Congress 2016 to be held at Baramati, Maharashtra from 27th to 31st December 2016.

Our girls brought laurels to the school by winning various medals in CBSE Swimming tournament held at Pathankot from October 7, 2016 to October 9, 2016.

Nadiya Bansal of class VIIIB bagged two Gold Medals in North India Open Speed Skating Championship organised by Roller Hawks and Stateland Club from October 7,2016 to October 8,2016

Saachi of class VIIE bagged Two Gold Medals in U14 competition North India Open Speed Skating Championship held at D.A.V School Sector-15 Chandigarh on October 7,2016 and October 8,2016.

Nishtha Goel (VI-G) represented the school at State level Painting Competition on Power Saving organized by BEE on November 9 2016 at Indradhanush auditorium. She bagged the Consolation Prize and also received a cash prize of Rs 5000.

Arshiya of class IIID won 2 Gold Medals in Rink 4 and Road Race and One Silver Medal in Rink 5 in Inter School Skating Competition in U-11 category held at Skating Rink Sector 10 Chandigarh from September 1, 2016 to September 11,2016. She also qualified for SGFI to be held at Karnataka.

Himanshika Sehgal of class VIIIF won The Tricity Golf Tournament held at Panchkula Golf Club on September 18, 2016.

Shaurya Raj of class XIID bagged Second Position in Table Tennis Chandigarh 2nd Ranking Tournament in Junior Category held at sector-23 hall from September 2,2016 to September 4,2016.

The School Swimming Team brought laurels to school by winning various medals under different categories in U.T. Inter School Swimming Tournament held from September 2, 2016 to September 5,2016.

Our School U19 Boys Football team bagged Third Position in UT Inter School Tournament held at Govt Model Sen Sec School, Sector- 37 from August 19,2016 to September 1, 2016. The team members were Gurkaran Singh Nibber-Captain(XII), Teg Pratap Singh(XII), Rahul(XI), Rhythmjit Singh(XII),Rishabh Prashar(XII),Abhinav Mahajan(XI), Arjun(XI),Deepank(XII),Mridul(XII),Hemantbir(XI), Himmat Singh(XI),Ishaan Puri(XI),Abhay Pratap(XI),Angad Pahel(XI),Sargunpreet(XI),Riyaz(XI).
