Sports Achievements

In Taekwondo UT inter-school competition held at the sports complex 56 from 2nd to 6th Sep 2024:

1.Dilnoor sanghera, VIII G , Under-14 bagged silver medal

2.Harshita Srikrishna , IX D, Under-17 bagged bronze medal

Our school team won Bronze medal in UT-Inter School U-19 Boys Chess Competition. This was held from 9th to 13th September 2024. The team members are-

Mahijith Singh Kaura, Class VIII F won Singles and Doubles title 🏆🏆 in Under-14, All India Tennis Championship series held at Jind, Haryana from 30.09.2024 – 03.10.2024. 3rd title in the consecutive week🥇

Mahijith Singh Kaura, Class VIII F became finalist in AlTA Under 18 Championship series held from 23rd-27th September,2024 at Roots Tennis Academy, Zirakpur.

We are pleased to announce that Sifat Kaur of Class 4G won Gold Medal in Inter School State Skating Competition in U-11 category held on 30th August, KB DAV Sr Sec School Sector 7, Chandigarh

Kriyansh of V A has got a silver medal 🥈 in 80m race under-10 organized by Chandigarh Athletics Association

Mehtaab Singh Saini of class 5th-A secured 3rd position, earning a bronze medal in the U-13 boys category at the 2nd Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament – 2024. The tournament was organized by the Chandigarh Table Tennis Association and took place from August 9th to 11th at Sector 23-C, Chandigarh.

Cherrish Chhabra of class 12D won:-
Third prize in U-19girls singles.
Third prize in women’s singles.
In 2nd Chandigarh state ranking table tennis tournament held at Table Tennis Hall, sector 23 Chandigarh from 9 to 11 August 2024

Aayra of 9G stood first in Chandigarh under-19 girls Chess tournament, held on 10th and 11th August 2024, at Ambedkar Bhavan, sector 37.
She will represent Chandigarh in National under19 Chess tournament, to be held in September.

Deepinder Singh Sidhu won silver medal in Rifle Shooting at district championship held at Phase 6 Mohali Shooting Range from 4th -6th2024.

49th State Shooting Championship held at Shooting Ranges , Sector 25 , Chandigarh from 08.08 24 to 12.08.24

The Shooting Championship is being organized by
Chandigarh Rifle Association and during Championship events for .177 air riffe/pistol, .22 Rifle, .22 standard pistol , .22 free pistol , .22 sports pistol and centre fire pistol events were held.

Gurasis has won State Gold Medal in 50m Rifle Prone (Team ) at 49th State Shooting Championship.

This achievement qualifies Gurasis to represent state for pre-nationals.

Our Students outstanding performance at Chandigarh sub junior and junior athletic championship 2024 on the 2nd day we got 3 medals.
The following medals are:
1)Samisha Taneja (9/D) won gold medal in long jump under 16 Girls Category.

2)Shayan (10th)got Bronze medal in 60 mt race.under 16 Boys Category.

3)Nitin (11) won Bronze medal in 400 mt race.under -18 boys Category.

Samisha Taneja of Class 9, DPS Chandigarh wins the Best Athlete title in Under-16 girls category, in addition to Gold Medal in Long Jump and Gold Medal in High jump events at the Chandigarh State Sub-Junior and Junior Athletics meet conducted at Sports Complex, Sector 7 Chandigarh from 23rd to 26th August, 2024. She was awarded with a bicycle. This is the second year in a row that she has won this title.

Angad Singh of Class VIII-H won a Bronze medal in Interschool Under 14 Boys Boxing Championship (Weight category 48-50 Kg) held on 23rd August, 2024
