Achievements

Manan Gupta (Class XI) represented Morocco in OIC in VHSMUN 2016- Model United Nations Conference held at the Vivek High School, Chandigarh from 18th to 21st November 2016 and won a High Commendation Award.

Jivaj Chawla of class 6C bagged Runner Up position in U12 category in Adidas Open Tennis Tournament 2016 held at Lake club from November 26, 2016 to November 27, 2016.

Pranay Bansal of class 4B won the Runners Up title in U10 category in Tennis Tournament held at Satluj Public School sector 4 Panchkula from November 25, 2016 to November 26, 2016

Himanshu, Puneet and Aryan of Class 10B participated and got First position in Adidas Uprising Football Tournament held at Sector 17 Stadium from November 26, 2016 to November 27, 2016.

Arshiya of class 3D won two Silver medals in U 8-10 category in North Zone CBSE Skating Competition held at BDS Public School Ajnala from November 3,2016 to November 6, 2016. She also qualified for CBSE Nationals in the same event.

Our School Team comprising of Dhruv Chopra and Aryan Lamba of Class X secured Second Position in the Floral Quiz (Chrysanthemum Show) organised by the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh on December 11, 2016. 21 teams participated in the event.

Our School team comprising of Esha Hooda (X-D), Smera Mehta (X-B), Ansh Ohri (IX-C) and Viren Talwar (IX-C) –Senior category ,got Second position in the 24th State Children’s Science Congress held on December 3, 2016 at National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Sector 26, Chandigarh.

They had presented their project titled “Green buildings for Sustainable Development” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”, with special emphasis on accessibility for persons with disability.

In the Junior category also, our School team comprising of Aaditya Sharma (VII-B), Vansh Bhandari (V-H) and Manhar Bawa (VI-H), got Second position.They had presented their project titled “Traditional Knowledge System” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”,

They will now participate in the 24th National Childrens’ Science Congress 2016 to be held at Baramati, Maharashtra from 27th to 31st December 2016.

Nitima Garg (VI-D) received a Certificate of Achievement for ‘One of the best two entries’ from our School in Painting – Junior Competition on the subject ‘Oil & Gas Conservation’ conducted by PCRA (Petroleum Conservation Research Association)

Shubhankar Mehta (X-H) won  First Prize in Poster Designing in Photoshop at YPS Mohali on December 3, 2016.

Sukhman Dhillon (XII-D) won  First Prize in a PowerPoint Competition (Theme: Need for Self-governance for betterment of the society) at YPS Mohali on December 3, 2016.

Our School was awarded the ‘Judges Critical Acclaim Award’ at the Nationals of Annual Inter DPS Dance Festival-2016.

Kanwar Jeet Singh Gill (Class XI) won the Special Mention Certificate and a medal at the MUN organised by Vivek High School from 18-21 November 2016.

Gurkirat (Class X-A) got the Second position in ‘On the spot Painting Competition‘, an event held on November 19, 2016, as a part of Children’s week celebrations organised by CCPCR, at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 18, Chandigarh.

Aishwarya Goyal (IX-H) received the certificate of ‘Best School Entry’ in PCRA National Competition 2016- A painting Competition on the subject ‘Oil & Gas Conservation’ conducted by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural  gas, Government of India.

Our girls brought laurels to the school by winning various medals in CBSE Swimming tournament held at Pathankot from October 7, 2016 to October 9, 2016.
