  1. Himank Sehgal (X-A) represented Estonia in the EU at PECMUN 4.0 held on 4th-5th February 2017 and was awarded ‘Special mention’ for an exemplary performance.

  2. We take pride in sharing with everyone about the laurel which was brought to the School by our budding Badminton players- Ishita (XI-E) and Simran (XII-B), who won the National Inter DPS Badminton Tournament 2016, held at DPS Panipat Refinery from 5th November- 7th November 2016. Ishita (XIE) and Simran(XIIB) won Bronze medal in doubles. Ishita (XIE) won Gold medal in Singles and was also declared The Best Player of the tournament.

  3. Aryan Bhatti (XB), Shivam Mittal(XH), Raghav Goel(IXA) and Dhruv Chopra(XE) bagged Bronze Medal in 4X100 mts Relay Race in U-17 Boys Athletics U.T. Competition held at Sports Complex Sector 7 Chandigarh from November 28, 2016 to November 30, 2016.

  5. Mehtab Kaur of class VIII bagged Bronze Medal both in 100mts and 200mts U-17 Girls Athletics U.T. Competition held at Sports Complex Sector 7 Chandigarh from November 28, 2016 to November 30, 2016.

  7. Kritika Garg of class VIII won a Silver medal in National of Inline
    Hockey Championship held at Jodhpur from January 25, 2017 to January 29, 2017.She received a cash prize of One Lakh Rupees for the same.

  8. Kritika Garg of class VIII won a Gold medal in Inline
    Hockey State Championship held at KBDAV sector-7 Chandigarh from January 5, 2017 to January 7, 2017.

  9. Maryam Eqbal (IV-E) got International Rank 1 in the 7th International English Olympiad (Organized in partnership with the British Council). She received gifts worth Rs. 1000/-, International Gold Medal and a Merit Certificate.

  10. Students of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh bagged the 2nd Prize in the ‘State Level Kala Utsav‘- Dance competition organised by the MHRD in October 2016. The theme of this event was ‘Living Traditions of Art’. Total 19 teams participated in this event showcasing well-choreographed traditional folk dances from different states. The DPS team presented Santhali’- a very popular folk dance of Jharkhand.

    The prize distribution ceremony was held on 21st February 2017 in Tagore Theatre. Sh. Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest. The occasion also marked the presence of Director School Education, District Education Officer, Principals of various Schools and other dignitaries.

    The students of DPS-40, presented the vibrant ‘Santhali’ in its true spirit and flavour at the ceremony. School Principal, Ms. Reema Dewan and her team were awarded at the ceremony. Each participant was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1200/-.

    Principal, Ms. Reema Dewan congratulated the 10 participants and encouraged them to nurture their talent.

  11. Esha Hooda (Class X-D) and Vansh Bhandari (VI-H) participated in the 24th National Children’s Science Congress held at Baramati (Maharashtra) from 27th to 31st December, 2016.

  12. Smera Mehta (Class X-B) participated in the Indian Children’s Science Congress, as part of the 104th Indian Science Congress, held at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh from 3rd to 7th January, 2017. The Indian Science Congress was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.

  13. Seven Children from our School participated in on-the spot painting competition, as a part of traffic week organised by Chandigarh traffic police. We bagged the following positions: Palak (Class IX-B)- First position (Senior category), Manya (X-H)- Second position (Senior category), Anoushka (Class VI-H)- First position (Junior category) and Nitima (Class VI-D)- Second position (Junior category).

  14. Palak Garg (Class IX) got the Jury Appreciation for her painting sent for the Art exhibition as a part of Annual Inter DPS National Heritage Festival 2106, held at DPS Noida on December 25, 2016.
