Achievements

Nandiya Bansal of class IX got First Position in R1, R2 ,R3 events in Manav Mangal Speed Skating Carnival 2017 organised by Manav Mangal Group of schools in Mohali from July 29,2017 to July 30,2017.

Arnav Khushwaha of class VA won First prize in Chandigarh Under 11 Open Chess Championship 2017 organized by Chandigarh Chess Association on July 30,2017.

Our School team bagged First position in Annual Inter DPS Dance Festival 2017 (Zone 1) held on August 5 2017.

Our team comprising Chaitanya, Akshat Jagga, Akhilesh Shetty and Aryanpartap Singh of Class XII secured the First position in ‘Hackathon 2017’ conducted by Infosys on 29 & 30 July 2017 at their IT park campus, Manimajra. The students prepared a project on ‘Hostel Management’ in which they introduced the concepts of Machine learning and augmented reality. Interestingly, the students opted to be judged in the College level pool instead of the School level pool and outshined 29 other college teams. The Principal, Ms Reema Dewan, congratulated the team and expressed great pride on such an outstanding achievement.

Our school bagged the First position in both Solo and Group level of Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Competition(Zone 1) held at Amritsar on 29^th July 2017.

Amarpali Mahajan was declared the winner of the solo category The winning team comprised of Annpurnaa Chopra(Class VIII), Ajit Singh(Class VIII), Sahil Sood(Class IX), Aaditya Prasad (Class IX), Yashpreet Kaur(Class IX), Amarpali Mahajan(Class XI), Gaurav Arora(Class XI) and Ishan Mundeja(Class XI). The team will now be participating at the National level.

Palak (X-B) and Rijul (IX-A) bagged the 3rd position in Bouquet Making (Handmade flowers competition) held on 27th July 2017 at Carmel Convent School.

Manya Garg and Mahira (Class XI) bagged the Second position in 3D Canvas Painting Competition conducted by Carmel Convent on 27th July 2017.

Saksham Gulati was awarded the Best Delegate- Delegate of Uruguay in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) at the Strawberry Fields High School Model United Nations Conference 2017, Chandigarh.

Devabh, Sahil, Abhinn and Hermionee (Class X-H) enacted a scene from the movie ‘Taare Zameen Pe’ in French and got 3rd Prize in Inter School competition held at Carmel Convent School on 25th July 2017.

Mannan Rajput (VI-B) sang a famous French song and got the 2nd position in the same event.

Manasvini Divivedi of class- VIID participated in Group III 50m and 100m Backstroke events in Glenmark 34th Sub-Junior Aquatic Championship 2017 held at Pune on June 28,2017 to June 30,2017.

Dhruv of class VIII F participated in Group-2 50m backstroke event in Junior National Swimming competition held at Pune on July 3,2017.

Rishi Rana of class XE participated in Group-I 50m Freestyle event in Junior National Swimming competition held at Pune on July 5,2017.

Samar Sodhi of class IX F bagged Second position in U-15 in Table Tennis Ranking Tournament held at sector-23 Table Tennis Hall from July 7,2017 to July 9,2017.

Uddayvir Singh of class IX won the Winner and Runners-up title in Doubles and Singles respectively in AITA Super Series U-16 Tournament held at Raipur from June 5,2017 to June 9, 2017.

Siona Arora (Class VIII) and Devika Sood (Class VIII) won the 3rd position in the activity, ‘Designing an advertisement promoting nature’s need’ in Woodsia Alpina Eco-Fest (2017)- an Inter-School Competition held on 22nd July 2017.
