Achievements

Mehreen Brar (VII-G) has got North India Rank 3 in Sri Chaitanya’s SCORE (Sri Chaitanya Outstanding Achiever Reward Examination). She got a Trophy and cash Prize of Rs. 7500.

Shubhra Koser (XII-C) won the First Prize in Kala Utsav 2018– a State level dance Competition organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on November 15,2018. She will be going for the Nationals in December.

Gurkirat Singh (IXH) and Kamaldeep Singh (IXA) bagged Third prize in Junior Boys team event in 11 Sports Inter School Table Tennis State Championship conducted at TT Hall sec-23 Chandigarh from October 3,2018 to October 6, 2018.

Our School U-17 Girls team comprising of Vrinda Rana(10C), Mili Verma(8D(), Prisha Kohli(10A), Divya Arora(8C) and Pranjal Sood(9C) bagged First Position in UT Inter School Badminton Tournament held at GMHS Sports Complex 43, Chandigarh from October 3, 2018 to October 6, 2018.

Our school team bagged First Runners-up Trophy with 50 points in U-14 category in Inter-DPS National Swimming Meet held at DPS Chandigarh from September 28,2018 to September 29, 2018.

Mannat Brar of Class XII-E bagged silver medal in Squash U-19 Girls in 64th National School Games held at GMHS 43 Sports Complex, Chandigarh from September 26, 2018 to September 29, 2018.

Garima of class 7D bagged Bronze Medal in Sub Junior/Senior in Taekwondo Championship in U-37 weight category organised by Dev Samaj College Chandigarh from August 25,2018 to August 26,2018.

Praghya Rana of class 7B bagged Gold Medal in Kyorugi (Fight)in Weight category of U-29kgs in Sub Junior/Senior Boys and Girls Competition organised by Dev Samaj College Chandigarh from August 25,2018 to August 26,2018.

Parneet Saini of class 8B bagged Second position in U-15 Girls and U-21 Girls in First Independence Cup held at La Blossoms School, Jalandhar organised by T3 Academy from August 14,2018 to August 16,2018.

Our school team comprising of Mannat Brar(12E), Gursimran(12C) and Suhani Makkar(12A) bagged Third Prize in team event in Inter DPS National Squash Tournament held at DPS R.K. Puram from July 19,2018 to July 21,2018. Mannat Brar bagged Third position in Individual category in the same event.

Our School got 3rd prize in Quiz Competition on World Tourism Day conducted by Chandigarh Tourism Department in coordination with Education Department, UT, held at Govt. Museum & Art gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh, on 28th September 2018.

Apala Mandal (Class XII Batch 2017-18) has been offered “Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship 2018″ by Reliance Foundation for pursuing college education.

Anmol Kapoor of Class XI has done the school proud and proved his scholastic mettle and outstanding aptitude by clearing the prestigious NTSE Stage II conducted on May 13, 2018. He will be getting a scholarship of Rs. 1250 per month till he clears Class XII Examination and Rs. 2000 per month till he complete his higher studies. Earlier, Anmol had secured 5^th rank in the Chandigarh Zone in NTSE Stage I.

Our School Rock Band -Daria,  bagged the First position in the tricity and has qualified for the finals of ‘Teens Rock 5 – The Battle of Bands’.

This competition is India’s biggest Academic School Bands Competition and is organized by Yamaha Music India. 15 amateur bands from various schools of the tricity showcased their talent in the auditions.

The DPS team comprised of Gaurav Arora (Lead Guitarist), Deepanshu Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Male), Aamrapali Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Female), Rishi Vashisht (Keyboardist), Ishaan Mundeja (Bassist), Ayaan Saundh (Drummer) and Sahil Sood (Percussionist).

Eleven bands from all over the country will be competing for the title in the Grand Finale which will be held on 23rd September, 2018.
