National Level Events

Sargun Singh of class X participated in 64th National School Games of Football held at Agartala from December 9,2018 to December 13,2018.

Our School dance team comprising of Ritika Singh (X-F), Sanya Ghosh (X-F), Mehr Mehta (X-F), Vanya Sidana (X-H), Ojasvita Sikka (IX-D), Sanchita Kalra (IX-D), Baani Nayyar (IX-D), Pranjal Sood (IX-C) and Dhruv Madan (VIII-E) bagged the Second Runners Up position and Best Props Award in the National Level of Nrityanjali 2018-Inter DPS Dance Festival held at DPS Greater NOIDA on 24th November 2018.

At Inter DPS National Science Festival, held at DPS Mathura Road, Delhi, on November 24, 2018, our School won the following prizes:

• Naman and Harnoor (IX-H) won Second prize in Science Spiration Low Cost Water Purifier
• Medhansh and Daksh Kansal (Class VIII) won Second Prize in Fun with Science Electronic models of energy saving

Mehreen Brar (VII-G) has got North India Rank 3 in Sri Chaitanya’s SCORE (Sri Chaitanya Outstanding Achiever Reward Examination). She got a Trophy and cash Prize of Rs. 7500.

Our school team bagged First Runners-up Trophy with 50 points in U-14 category in Inter-DPS National Swimming Meet held at DPS Chandigarh from September 28,2018 to September 29, 2018.

Mannat Brar of Class XII-E bagged silver medal in Squash U-19 Girls in 64th National School Games held at GMHS 43 Sports Complex, Chandigarh from September 26, 2018 to September 29, 2018.

Our school team comprising of Mannat Brar(12E), Gursimran(12C) and Suhani Makkar(12A) bagged Third Prize in team event in Inter DPS National Squash Tournament held at DPS R.K. Puram from July 19,2018 to July 21,2018. Mannat Brar bagged Third position in Individual category in the same event.

Apala Mandal (Class XII Batch 2017-18) has been offered “Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship 2018″ by Reliance Foundation for pursuing college education.

Anmol Kapoor of Class XI has done the school proud and proved his scholastic mettle and outstanding aptitude by clearing the prestigious NTSE Stage II conducted on May 13, 2018. He will be getting a scholarship of Rs. 1250 per month till he clears Class XII Examination and Rs. 2000 per month till he complete his higher studies. Earlier, Anmol had secured 5^th rank in the Chandigarh Zone in NTSE Stage I.

Our School Rock Band -Daria,  bagged the First position in the tricity and has qualified for the finals of ‘Teens Rock 5 – The Battle of Bands’.

This competition is India’s biggest Academic School Bands Competition and is organized by Yamaha Music India. 15 amateur bands from various schools of the tricity showcased their talent in the auditions.

The DPS team comprised of Gaurav Arora (Lead Guitarist), Deepanshu Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Male), Aamrapali Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Female), Rishi Vashisht (Keyboardist), Ishaan Mundeja (Bassist), Ayaan Saundh (Drummer) and Sahil Sood (Percussionist).

Eleven bands from all over the country will be competing for the title in the Grand Finale which will be held on 23rd September, 2018.

Rishi Rana of class-11E participated in 50m freestyle event timing 27.42 secs in 45th Junior Nationals held at Pune from June 24,2018 to June 29,2018.

Manasvini Divivedi of class 8D participated in Glenmark 45th Junior and 35th SubJunior National Aquatic Championship 2018 in 50m and 100m backstroke events held at Pune from June 24,2018 to June 29, 2018.

Chandanpreet Dhupar (IX-G) won the Champions trophy in the 14th National Japanese Soroban and Anzan Competition on Mental Arithmetic held on 29th July 2018 at S.D. College, Chandigarh.

Aditeya Goyal of our school participated in NexSchools Lil Bloggers Contest 2018 in the age category of 11-13 years, held during April to May 2018. He was awarded a participation certificate.

His blog was appreciated by eminent panel of judges and made to the publishing list on the NexSchools.com website. There were 200 entries from the country and only outstanding blogs were published.
