Cultural Achievements

Kanchi Shirin of Class XI-A has bagged the First Prize in Slogan Writing Competition organised by U.T. Education Department on 7th October, 2010 at Rock Garden.

Dipanshu of Class III & Amrapali of Class IV bagged the First Prize in ‘Chandigarh’s Got Talent’ Competition.

Our young painters have bagged four prizes in Inter DPS Children’s Art Exhibition 2009 held at Ranipur, Haridwar.

• Rohan Seth – Class VI – Consolation Prize
• Meher Vadhera – Class IX – Consolation Prize

Our School Debating Team has qualified for the Zonal Finals of Debating Matters India – Debate Competition. Our team is one of the 12 teams chosen from over 70 participating schools of the north.

Triman Kaur of Class VI bagged the First Prize in Cognizance, a scrapbook competition organised by The Tribune. In the same competition, Japneet Chauhan of Class VI bagged a consolation prize. Ahsaas Sharma of Clas VII also bagged the Consolation Prize in Class VII category.

The Overall First Position in Dipulse 2010, an inter-school event was jointly bagged by DPS Chandigarh and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula.

Aamrapali Mahajan of Class IV-H bagged the Second Position in Kala Sangram 2010, a music competition organized by Dhillon Creations.

Aarohi Jain of Class VII-D has bagged the First Position in Solo Dance Performance in a Dance Competition organized by Satluj Public Schhool, Panchkula

Rupal Goyal of Class XI-A has bagged a consolation cash prize of Rs. 300/- in Inter School Slogan Writing Competition organized by U.T. Educational Department on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

Shruti Paranjape of Class XII-B bagged the second position in NIE Extravaganza Classical Dance Competition organized for the schools of the tricity.

Our school dance team bagged the First Position in NIE Extravagaza Folk Dance Group Competition.

Divtej Singh of Class XII won the Third Prize in Solo Guitar Competition organized by NIE Group for the schools of the Tricity.

In the same competition, Manik Kohli won the First Prize in the Drumming Event.

Our students have bagged several prizes in NIE Extravaganza, Talent Hunt.

• First Prize in Hindi Song – Ishita of Class X
• First Prize in Drumming – Manik of Class VII

Our school has bagged the first prize in Poster Making Competition and the Third Prize in Folk Dance Competition in NIE Extravaganza 2010 organized for the school of the tricity.

On the occasion of Chilren’s Day, the Education Department had organized various Inter School Competitions.

• Extempore – Anjit Aulakh of Class XII
• Street Play – Agam, Akriti, Shubham, Jaideep, Nimish & Prakhar of Class X, Jugam of Class IX and Kairvi of Class VIII.
