Cultural Achievements

Jasmine Punia of Class X-A has been awarded a gold medal and a cash prize of 300 for bagging the consolation prize in a Drawing Competition organized by Schoolsindia, Chennai.

Our school has bagged the First Position in Zonal Level Inter DPS Vocal Music Competition held at DPS Amritsar on 30th April.

Our school hosted INFODIP – an interschool I.T. festival for the schools of the Tricity in the second feek of May, 2011 and bagged several prizes.

• First Prize in Click Pik, Bit by Bit, We make it, Terminizer
• Second Prize in Turncoat, Let me tell you, Paint your Imagination.
• Third Prize in Brainstormer.

Our young dancers have bagged the First Position in a Folk Dance Competition organized by Rotary International on 13th May.

Uddayvir Singh of Class III-B won the second prize in a Poem Recitation Competition organized by the British Library on 13th May, 2011.

Gurtej of Class X and Varun of Class XI bagged the Second Prize in an Inter School Quiz Competition ‘IGNITE’ on 10th May, 2011.

Pragya of Class IX has bagged the First Prize in a Declamation Contest organized by Rotary International on 7th May, 2011.

Priyansh Soni and Shreyam of Class X have bagged the Third Position in Literary Quiz organized by British Library on World Book Day.

Jayant Goyal of Class IX-D bagged the Second Prize in ‘Kabad se Jugad’ a ‘Best out of Waste’ Competition organised by TERI – The Energy and Resources Institute.

The students of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh did their school pround by bagging the first position in the National Level Inter DPS International Dance Competition ‘Global Hues’ held at DPS Dwarka.

Jagjit Singh Jolly of Class VII-F has been ranked 4th in “The International Faber-Castell Under 15 Art Competition.

Madhav Ginoria of Class VI and Tanayaa Ginoria of Class IV won a Gold Medal in All India Dance Sports Championship 2010 held at New Delhi in June 2010. They had earlier bagged a Gold Medal at state level too. They also received great appreciation for their performance in the popular T.V. Reality Show, ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega’ aired on Sony Television.

Our dance troupe of 6 students participated in Tribal Art and Cultural – Learn to Live Together Camp held at Bal Bhawan, Silvass in April, 2010. They represented Chandigarh Bal Bhawan and the North Zone and will be eligible for participation in International Meet.

DPS Chandigarh bagged the Overall First Position in North Zone Inter DPS Vocal Music Competition held at DPS Chandigarh.

Our school bagged the First Position in North Zone Inter DPS International Folk Dance Competition held at DPS Chandigarh.
