Academic Achievements

  1. CBSE, in collaboration with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL), has initiated the ‘Sustainability Accelerator’ program to foster a sustainability mindset and enhance skills for green jobs among students. The program offers a 12-day internship/mentorship format, including 7 days of virtual sessions and 5 days on a corporate campus for the top 10 students.

    Two students from DPS Chandigarh, Suhani Sharma (Class XIC) and Aditi R Ananth (XH), have been selected for the program’s first round. They have a 7-day mission to advance to the final stage, competing the top 100 students. The Sustainability Accelerator aims to empower students to become valuable contributors in the realm of climate change and climate action. Top 10 students will be selected for 5 days workplace experiences and project work with industry partner, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL).We wish our students all the best!

  2. Recognizing that schools are breeding grounds for creativity, the Entrepreneurship & Rural Development Centre (ERDC) places emphasis on nurturing entrepreneurial skills at the school level. In line with this, ERDC is organizing a five-day Residential Bootcamp ‘Enlightening the Entrepreneurial Spirit’ at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab during the summer break (2023). The Bootcamp aims to identify and engage young, enthusiastic minds who will shape the future through their entrepreneurial pursuits.

    Five Class 9 students from DPS Chandigarh have been selected for the program, with more expected to be selected in subsequent lists. This opportunity provides a platform for students to explore new opportunities and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. We wish our shortlisted students good luck!

  3. Suhani Sharma (currently in class XI), student of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh secured the First Rank in Class Tenth, in the two-day National Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) – India’s Largest Science Talent Search Examination 2022-23 organised by Department of Science and Technology, and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Govt. of India, held on 20th & 21st May 2023 at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram IISER TVM).

    As the first rank Himalayan winner, Suhani received a merit certificate, a shield, Rs 25000 cash prize alongwith a year-long Bhaskara fellowship, and an internship opportunity, Srijan, with a leading Science research Institution of the country.

    Besides, the national winners called Himalayans, VVM also announced the Zonal winners for the four zones, class wise. Bhavesh Mahajan (currently in IX), from DPS Chandigarh bagged the third zonal position for Class VIII.

    Earlier both Suhani and Bhavesh had secured the First rank in the State Camp held on 5th Feb, at Punjab University, Chandigarh and the District level competition held in Nov 2022.

  4. Neh Singla and Paras Gupta (Class X) have been selected for Young Scientist Programme ‘Yuvika 2023’ by ISRO and will be attending two week residential programme at NRSC Hyderabad from 14 May 2023 to 27 May, 2023.

  5. Aarna Goyal (Class VI) won International Rank 25 and Zonal Rank 3 in 2nd Level SOF International Mathematics Olympiad ’22
    Award Won: Rs. 1,250 and Zonal Silver Medal and Certificate of Zonal Performance.

  6. ADITYA GUPTA (Class X) has made the DPS fraternity proud by scoring International Rank I in 2nd Level SOF International Mathematics Olympiad.
    Award Won: Rs. 16,667 and International Gold Medal Certificate of Outstanding Performance.

  7. Aditeya Goyal and Divija Dewan, both students of class X (2022-23) participated in Techno School Programme Zeitgeist’23 conducted by IIT Ropar from 23-26 March.

    Both the students participated in TSP OPEN OLYMPIAD and we share with great pride that both emerged as winners in the second stage of the competition. Aditeya came Ist while Divija got the 3rd position.

  8. Anmol Singla (Class VI) was awarded Gold Medal of Excellence for achieving International Rank: 309, Regional Rank: 192 and School Rank: 2 in National Cyber Olympiad 2022-23.

  10. Shaurya Prabhakar (Class VI) was awarded Certificate of excellence and Silver Medal in International Mathematics Championship ’22 for achieving rank 49 out of 2396 students from grade 6, from 20+countries.

  11. Abhyudaya Chauhan (Class VI) was awarded Certificate of Merit – Bronze medal for achieving Global Rank 281 at International Mathematics Championship ’22 in which 2396 students from grade 6, from 20+ countries, participated.

  12. Anika Mehta of Class VI secured Silver medal in the International Mathematics Championship organised by Camp Yellow and bagged Rank 113 globally out of 2396 students.

  15. Kumar Abhinav (Class VI) made us proud by winning the following medals:

    1. He bagged Gold Medal of Excellence (School Rank 3) in SOF National Science Olympiad 2022-23. He has also qualified for 2nd Level examination.
    2. He bagged Gold Medal of Excellence (School Rank 5) in SOF International Mathematics Olympiad 2022-23. He has also qualified for 2nd Level examination.
    3. He cleared round 1 and round 2 of International Mathematics Championship 2022 test organized by Camp Yellow, in association with members of European Mathematical Society and won Silver Medal and Certificate of Excellence in round 3, Global Finals.
    4. Awarded Certificate of Merit for standing FIRST in his school in National Level Online Examination of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2022 23 organised by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA). He also participated in State Level Camp (Level -II) and was awarded Medal & Certificate for the same.
    5. Awarded Certificate of Distinction by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), New Delhi for participating in a value driven Project, namely, Green Olympiad 2022.
    6. Awarded Certificate of Appreciation for enthusiastic participation in Ganga-Quest 2022, National Quiz organised by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Tree Craze Foundation.
    7. Awarded Certificate of Completion for successful completion of AI on Oceans and micro-learning module on ‘Demystify AI and Open VINO TM Toolkit’ by Intel AI Global Impact Festival 2022.
