Academic Achievements

Himanshu Bansal (Class X) bagged the first prize and Dyuti Chaudhary, the Second, in a Debate Competition organised by Indian Metrological Society, Chandigarh on 29th April, 2014 to mark Earth day Celebrations.
In the same event, Sanket Jain (Class X) bagged the 2nd Prize in Essay Writing Competition.

Asmi (VI F) bagged a Gold medal in Abacus in Brain-O-Brain 43rd Regional Fest 2014 held in Ludhiana on 4th May 2014.

Saumil Arora of Class 6 has performed brilliantly in various Olympiads and received gifts worth Rs. 1000/- in the following:-

• 7th International Mathematics Olympiad

Devika Singh of Class 5 bagged a Gold medal, Silver medal and gifts worth Rs. 1000/- for her outstanding performance in the 4th International English Olympiad.

Aditya Goyal (II A) secured a Gold Medal in the National Round Level I exam of Primary Olympiad (Maths)conducted in March 2014 by Cambridge University Press & FireFish Network.

Yash Raj Kapoor, Kabir Singh Cheema and Anirudh Bhandari of Class X secured the First Position in the 16th Shri K J Khosla Memorial Inter School Editing and Composition Competition held at Bhavan Vidyalaya, sec-27 Chandigarh on Nov 13 2013.

Saumil Arora and Guhan Kumaran of class 5 bagged a Gold and a Silver Medal respectively in the 13th National Cyber Olympiad.

Nishant Puri (8E), Tanishq (7C), Missal and Bhavya (8E) bagged the First Prize in PowerPoint Competition organized by Koshish at Stepping Stones School, Sec-37 Chandigarh on 26 October 2013. In the same event, Gurasis S Sodhi and Karan Mittal of 9B secured the Third position.

Seven students of Class 9 and 10 were ranked among the Top 100  out of 5421 participants from 52 DPS schools across the globe in Decryptonite, an online cryptic treasure hunt part of the Annual Inter DPS Information Technology Fest ‘IT @CuttingEdge 2013’ held at DPS RK Puram on 20 July 2013 under the aegis of DPS Society.

Arpit Singla, a student of Class IX bagged the ‘Best Position Paper’ award in BVC Model United Nations Conference organized by Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh in collaboration with UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan.There were 247 participants.

Aditya Goyal of Class- Prep A bagged the Emerging Star Trophy in Level 1 in Abacus by SIP- Creating Intelligence  held on 27th January 2013.

Arnav Aggarwal of Class- IV E bagged a Gold Medal in the 39th Brain-O-Brain Regional Test held in Ludhiana on 25th December 2012.

Pranay Garg of class-VI C bagged the Second Position in the North Region SIP Abacus Brain Gym held on 23rd December 2012 at New Delhi.

Aatishya Sharma of class IX displayed his model in the State Level Science and Environment Exhibition 2012 held in Dec 2012. Earlier, he was winner at  the State Level Exhibition and Project Competition under INSPIRE Award scheme and also represented UT Chandigarh at the 2^nd National Level Exhibition and Project Competition held at New Delhi in October 2012.

Raahat Manrai of Class XII bagged the Best Interjector Award in Zonal Inter DPS Debate Competition (Zone 1) held at DPS Bhiwani in July 2012.
