NURSERY (Level 1)
Registration form for admission to Class Nursery can be downloaded from the school’s website: www.dpschd.com from Saturday, December 7, 2024 to Friday, December 20, 2024. Form will be available online only.
Submission of form
Scanned copy of Registration form duly filled in and signed along with requisite documents should be uploaded latest by Friday, December 20, 2024, 12 o’clock (midnight) through link available at school website. After successful uploading of registration form, the parents are required to pay the mandatory registration fee of Rs. 150/- via online payment gateway.
Important: Non-payment of the registration fee will result in automatic rejection of the application. No additional reminders or notifications will be sent in such cases.
Kindly Note :
- Upload clear, legible copies of the application form and required documents.
- The school will not be held responsible for any incorrect/incomplete form/documents.
- Verify eligibility criteria before applying.
- Only one application form per child will be accepted online.
- This online application form is not applicable for candidates under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. Admission under the EWS category will be facilitated by the Department of Education, Chandigarh Administration.
- No requests for late submission of forms/documents will be entertained beyond the specified deadline.
- Registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
The final list of eligible candidates for the draw of lots will be put up by Tuesday, January 14, 2025 on the school website.
Age Criteria
For admission to Class Nursery, the child should have completed 3 years as on March 31, 2025 i.e. children born between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
Seat Availability & Reservation
Total Seats : 100
Reserved for EWS under RTE Act 25% i.e. 25 seats
General Category : 75 seats out of which some reserved for Siblings, Staff and DPS Alumni.
Admission Criteria
The selection will be based on Draw of Lots which will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. for 75 non-EWS seats. The draw of lots will be held through offline mode in the school auditorium.
Please specify your mobile numbers and e-mail IDs correctly as information regarding the same shall be intimated through SMS/e-mail. The school will not be held responsible for any incorrect/incomplete details regarding mail IDs and phone numbers.
Documents Required
- Attested photocopy of :-
i) Birth Certificate of the child
ii) Aadhaar Card of the child
iii) Residence Proof
iv) SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable. - One passport size photograph of the child, child’s father and mother.
- Class XII passing certificate, in case the parent is alumni of any DPS.
Please Note : The school will follow the provisions laid down by the National Education Policy in terms of School Academic Structure at the Foundational, Preparatory, Middle and Secondary Levels.
The school follows a policy of 5+3+3+4 years of schooling as per NEP 2020 (Nursery(Level 1), Prep-I(Level 2), Prep-II(Level 3) at the Pre-Primary Level followed by Classes I to XII).

Admission to Classes Prep-I to IX will depend on the number of seats available
For admission to Classes Prep-I to VIII
Parents may send their request through e-mail with copies of last two years of academic result and birth certificate. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Parents are requested not to visit the school personally as only online applications will be entertained.
For Admission to Class IX
The student has to appear for the entrance test. He/She must fill the application form (link given below) and upload the same along with requisite documents through the link given below to appear for the test and interaction. No separate application will be entertained. The selection will be based on merit. Link will be provided in the last week of December, 2024.
