Interact Club of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh was launched with great fanfare on the 15th of May, 2009. The occasion was graced by Mr. S.K. Duggal, President, Rotary Club and Mr. K.K. Sharma, Chairman, Interact Club and Mrs. Reema Dewan, Principal, DPS Chandigarh.
Mr. Duggal in his address to the members of the Interact Club spoke about the aims and goals of the club. He discussed some of the projects that can be taken up by the club.
Mrs. Reema Dewan urged the children to make valuable contributions to the society. She also spoke about ‘Shiksha Kendra’, the afternoon school for the underprivileged, which the school plans to launch from July onwards. She urged the children to give their support to this project. Mr. Sharma in his address, urged each student to adopt a child of Shiksha Kendra. The erstwhile office bearers of the club were given badges by Mr. S.K. Duggal and Mrs. Reema Dewan.

Varun Sarwal, the President of the Club in his address vowed to perform his duties with utmost sincerity and dedication and make a difference to the society.
The club had already collected clothes and stationery for underprivileged children which were given away to the Guests of Honour from the Rotary Club by Mrs. Reema Dewan.
