Pre-Independence Day celebrations were held in Delhi Public School, Chandigarh with great fervour and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held on the occasion.
The spirit of nationalism and love for the motherland was displayed by the students in a brilliant dance performance, ‘Kandhe Se Kandhe Milte Hain……’.
The highlight of the assembly was the outstanding rendition of an inspirational group song ‘Tum Samay Ki Ret Par ……’ by students of the economically weaker and under privileged sections of the society.
The tiny tots of the Pre-Primary wing too presented a show ‘My India’ especially staged for their grandparents. The audience was spellbound by the soul stirring patriotic songs and a scintillating dance performance, ‘Suno Gaur Se Dunian Walon……’.
