Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ in a befitting manner to inspire awareness amongst students and parents about the importance of environment and balancing the needs of the planet with the needs of humanity.
Several activities and competitions such as Best out of Waste, Paper Bag Making, Book Mark Making, Badge Making and Designing Charts and Posters were organized in the school to mark the day. Special talks were held to remind all of their responsibility to preserve and improve the earth and the quality of life thereon.
Enthusiastic parents also participated in most of the activities thereby showing their commitment to address environmental concerns.
In a drive to generate awareness to save the earth from global devastation, students of the senior wing staged a street play, ‘Paryavaran Ek Kahani’. The Eco-Club members displayed placards on environmental related issued in the school campus as well as outside the premises.
