DPS, Chandigarh lifted the Inter-DPS National Tennis Tournament Boys (Open) 2015 from May 18-20, 2015 at DPS, Chandigarh. The match de finale saw DPS, Chandigarh beating DPS, Maruti Kunj (Score 2-1) to lift the trophy. Chirag Dhaya (Maruti Kunj) beat Uddayvir Singh (Chandigarh) 6-4, 6-2. Sabrang Sandal (Chandigarh) beat Nishant (Maruti Kunj) 6-0, 6-0. DPS Chandigarh beat DPS Maruti Kunj doubles 6-2, 6-1.
Sabrang Sandal of DPS Chandigarh was declared the Best Player of the Tournament. Chirag Dhaya from DPS Maruti Kunj received a special award for his consistent performance. DPS Gurgaon rounded off with the 2nd Runners-up position.
82 players from 24 different schools from all over India saw the better of each other in this U-19 tournament.
The three day event ended with a grand finale on Wednesday. Mr. Kamlesh Kumar, DPI Schools, was the Chief Guest. He appreciated the laudable efforts of DPS Chandigarh in promoting the spirit of sportsmanship.
Principal Reema Dewan thanked all the participating schools with a profoundly satisfying feeling of scaling newer heights of success.
