Chandigarh witnessed the dawn of its most fragrant celebration as the 53rd Annual Rose Festival unfurled its vibrant tapestry on 21st February 2025. The air, thick with the delicate perfume of countless roses, resonated with the joyous melodies of the inaugural ceremony, a spectacle that left all enthralled. The festival’s inauguration was graced by the esteemed presence of the Honourable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria.
The DPS Band’s magnificent performance heralded the Governor’s arrival, setting a tone of regal elegance. The enchanting sight of our school’s tiny tots, with their radiant smiles, provided a perfect prelude to the day’s festivities. The ceremony then unfolded with a powerful Ganesha Vandana, a testament to the dedication of our DPS student performers, and a captivating Rajasthani dance that left the audience spellbound with its artistry, weaving a rich cultural narrative. The Rose Festival, a testament to Chandigarh’s horticultural excellence, transformed the gardens into a breathtaking display.
DPS Chandigarh once again rejoiced in the city’s spirit: a resonant fusion of art, nature, and heritage, an enduring spectacle.
