Students and staff of Delhi Public School Chandigarh in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Chandigarh swung into campaign mode ‘Swachhata ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from 17th September 2022 to 2nd October 2022 to make the city plastic free.
Understanding the importance of educating young minds on 21st September 2022, a waste collection drive was organised by Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in which young Swachhata Ambassadors of DPS Chandigarh enthusiastically contributed in collecting plastic waste. The students pledged to make the school environment friendly .They understood the importance of segregation of waste, ban on plastic, home composting and responsibility as a dutiful Indian. The students assured that they will be the strong carriers of the mission and will motivate and create awareness amongst the family members and people in their surroundings.
