DPS celebrated ‘World Health Day’

World Health Day ‘The greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you…’ World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other related organizations. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, with effect from 1950, as the World Health Day. The World Health Day is held to mark WHO’s founding and is seen as an opportunity by the organization to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health each year. The WHO organizes international, regional and local events on the Day related to a particular theme. Raising awareness about physical health and mental wellbeing, and various measures to combat global health challenges, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated World Health Day on 7th April, 2022. Capturing the theme of 2022 given by the World Health Organization ‘Our Planet, Our Health’, the students of classes VII enthusiastically participated in Slogan Writing activity. They made beautiful posters with slogans depicting how taking healthy food , doing regular exercise, etc. will help us in maintaining good health , thereby making the world a fairer and healthier place to live in. The celebration fulfilled its objective of developing a deep understanding of the essential link between individual and collective health for a sustainable life.
