The Pre-Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated Baisakhi, the festival that is full of colors and vibrancy, during the online class with great enthusiasm. The students learnt about the significance of this festival which marks the harvest of the rabi crops and how farmers pay their tribute by thanking God for an abundant harvest, which is a symbol of prosperity. A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the students to apprise them with the historical background, significance and relevance of this festival by showcasing the punjabi culture and Baisakhi festivities including folk dances, fairs and processions. The mood was upbeat and the children got actively immersed in the festive spirit.
