The emotional well-being of children is just as important as physical health. Good mental health allows children to think clearly, develop socially and learn new skills. A strong foundation in childhood can lead to a healthy, happy and productive life.
Keeping in mind the ‘MANODARPAN’ project undertaken by the Ministry of Education for promoting mental and emotional well being of the students during the time of the pandemic, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh organised a variety of activities for the students to sensitize them about the importance of mental well- being.
A Story Telling Session was held at the primary level to help children identify and express different emotions. Various strategies to cope with anxiety and anger were also shared. The middle and senior school participated in poster making and slogan writing activities which helped in creating awareness on mental wellness. These activities helped in the holistic development of our students.
