The Pre- Primary wing of Delhi Public School, celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour on August 14, 2019. The spirit of freedom and nationalism was well exhibited by the students through a spectrum of patriotic songs ‘Nanna Munna rahi hoon ……….’, ‘Saare Jahan se acha………’. The children contributed to the event by participating in various craft activities with much fervour and gaiety which also involved making the tri colour. The children came dressed as famous Indian personalities, freedom fighters and spoke a few lines on them. It was a joyful learning experience for them.
The children were told about the importance of Independence Day as it reminds us of great sacrifices made by our leaders. The children learnt the significance of the various National Symbols and the colours of the Indian flag.
