The students of class IX, DPS Chandigarh, presented their class show “Rang-Raag” on the occasion of annual prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the colourful bonanza called ‘Life’! The meritorious students were felicitated for their academic performance. The Director of Census Operations, Mrs. Prerna Puri, was the chief guest for the occasion.
The zealous students put up a spectacular show on varied emotions being reflected through various colours. The programme began with the depiction of colour white in the form of a dance on peace. The singers mesmerized everyone with their rendition of the melodious song “Ashayein”. The students extended their support to the cause of women empowerment in the form of a street play followed by a talk show on the theme ‘Hope for Youth’. The show came to an end with the grand finale showcasing the amalgamation of colours.
The applause by the parents proved testimony to the laudable effort of three hundred participants. The Principal, Mrs. Reema Dewan congratulated all those who made the programme a grand success. She said that extracurricular activities help in the holistic development of children and advised students to balance their academics with co-curricular activities.
