A German Exhibition on environment was inaugurated at Delhi Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh on May 1, 2018 by Shri Dharmendra Sharma, IFS. The special guests on the occasion were Mr. Surinder Maken, Mr. Maheshwar Dayal and Ms. Kavita Chhabra. This exhibition focusses on sustainability and learning to protect nature. The main focus is to sensitize the young learners about planet Earth and the complex connection between four elements i.e. Fire, Earth, Water and Air. There are 4 pavilions for each element. The students also attend workshops on clay modelling and bottle gardening.
The young learners will get a chance to understand the radical changes which affect our life and the cause of finitude of our resources. Students can learn through this exhibition how we can find ways and means to conserve these elements better. This exhibition is sponsored by Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhawan, New Delhi and will conclude on May 13, 2018.
This exhibition was commendable as a maiden step in sensitising the students towards environment. The Principal, Mrs. Reema Dewan lauded the efforts of the Goethe Institut.
