“Just education is not enough, children must have sunshine, freedom and playtime”
On March 12th, 2025, Grade VII students of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh embarked on a memorable picnic to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala blending education and entertainment. The day commenced with a traditional Punjabi breakfast at Haveli, Jalandhar, fueling the students for their adventure.
Upon arrival at the Science City, students delved into interactive exhibits and scientific wonders. The Space Gallery, Laser show, Virtual expeditions and Dinosaur Park captivated their imagination, transforming learning into an engaging experience.
The afternoon brought a vibrant cultural immersion at Rangla Punjab. A delicious Punjabi lunch catered to diverse tastes, followed by a lively DJ session. Students danced and celebrated, creating a festive atmosphere. The blend of traditional cuisine and modern music provided a unique cultural experience.
The excursion aimed to provide a break from the classroom, encouraging students to learn through exploration and interaction. They experienced science beyond textbooks and celebrated Punjabi culture with food and music. The trip fostered camaraderie and created lasting memories.
