Delhi Public School, Chandigarh organised a delightful one-day excursion for students of Prep I on March 3,2025 (Monday) to Chokhi Dhani, Panchkula. The children were eager for a day of exploration and discovery. This outing was an unforgettable experience, as it introduced the young learners to the vibrant art, culture and heritage of the state of Rajasthan in an engaging and memorable way. A lively puppet show ‘kathputali nach’, activities like ‘kumhar’, ‘net ro khel’, ‘jadu ro khel’ stole their hearts, while the mesmerising ‘kalbeliya’ dance introduced them to traditional rhythms and movements. These activities not only entertained the children but also provided them with a deeper understanding and appreciation of our cultural heritage. The students also enjoyed camel and horse cart rides while exploring various cultural exhibits, which broadened their understanding of Rajasthan’s rich legacy. Adding another layer of cultural immersion to their experience, the kids relished a delicious spread of local food. This excursion to Chokhi Dhani was more than just a day out—it was a hands-on learning opportunity that went beyond the classroom, leaving the students spellbound. The excursion successfully delivered on its promise of adventure and created cherished memories!
