DPS celebrated 78th Independence Day

The annual celebrations on Independence Day is a testimony to the hard work and efforts put in by our brave hearts, who went through blood, sweat and tears to reclaim our independence. To salute this undying attitude of Indians and to embrace our spirit of freedom, a special assembly was organised by the students of Delhi Public School celebrating the 78th Independence Day of the nation with a lot of zeal and patriotism.
The celebration commenced within an address by the Principal Mrs. Reema Dewan who urged the students to keep the nation before the self. She expressed her strong belief that the young students of today would be the torch bearers of tomorrow leading India to fulfil its dream of being seen as a developed nation. The young Dipsites depicted various connotations of freedom through theatre and dance performances with a patriotic fervour. This was followed by a splendid performance by the school choir who sang a string of patriotic songs and enthralled everyone leaving the audience feeling proud of being Indians.
