The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of the students of Classes IX and XI and the Class Show of Class IX of DPS Chandigarh was held on 31st January 2024. Mr. Rahul Gupta, IAS, Additional Secretary of Agriculture and Medical Education & Research, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mohit Singla and Dr. Pooja Singla, eminent Dental Practitioners of the tricity were the Guests Of Honour.
The event featured a captivating cultural presentation by Class IX students titled ‘Loknritya-Virasat-e-Bharat.’ The lively folk dances from Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Punjab mesmerized the audience, offering a glimpse into the rich and unique culture of our country – the world’s most ethnically diverse land. The performances conveyed a heartfelt and enlightening message, leaving spectators amazed and awestruck.The celebration provided a platform for students to showcase their inherent talents, fostering unity among them. The venue echoed with thunderous applause, and the ambience complimented by visually stunning light and sound display left the audience spellbound.
Meritorious students from Classes IX and XI were honoured for their outstanding achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports. The Chief Guest commended the students for their accomplishments, praising their zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Ms. Reema Dewan, in her address, emphasized the school’s commitment to holistic and wholesome development.
