Baisakhi, the festival of harvest was celebrated with a lot of joy and enthusiasm by the Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. Various activities were conducted to make the young ones aware about the importance of celebrating this festival. They were told that on this day people wear new clothes, distribute sweets and also visit Gurudwaras to offer prayers. They were further told the meaning and importance of harvesting. They were also apprised with the other names of Baisakhi like Pongal, Onam, Bihu and Vishu. The children were delighted to express themselves through this enriching experience.
