Keeping in mind the major structural changes in school education as suggested by the National Curriculum Framework, a seminar for vocational courses in hotel management was organized by Delhi Public School, Sector 40 Chandigarh on 10th April 2023. Students of class 10 and 12 participated as an enthusiastic audience.
A complete insight into the programmes in the hospitality and hotel management industry was provided by Mr. Vishal Kalia, principal of Dr Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh. He discussed in length the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, fee structure and prospects of the courses offered by the institute.
The highlight was the chance of a field tour of the institute, offered to the students who are interested in hotel management. Mr. Vishal summed up his presentation by telling the students that it is the industry which tests both skill and knowledge, and to excel, the individual’s ego should take a back seat.
Students put forth their queries and are looking forward to the field trip of the institute.
