DPS celebrated ‘National Youth Day’

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life….and live on that idea” The golden words of Swami Vivekananda were reiterated by the students of Delhi Public School Chandigarh, on the occasion of National Youth Day which is celebrated every year on 12 January to mark the birthday of this great seer. The celebration on the e- platform showcased a PPT and online speeches prepared by students of various classes. The PPT illustrated Swami Vivekananda’s biography, his teachings and ideologies. The importance of National Youth Day, why is it celebrated and how is it celebrated was also shared through the medium of speeches. It also retold Swami Vivekananda’s message for the youth and an extract from one of his famous poems ‘Quest for God’ was presented. The main objective of National Youth Day is to create a platform for the youth to address their problems in various spectrums of life. It is observed all over India in schools and colleges, with processions, speeches, music, youth conventions, presentations, competitions, recitations and sports.
