Apart from classroom teaching, DPS Chandigarh believes in celebrating events and festivals with great zeal and enthusiasm. To enhance the knowledge of children about the festivals of India and qualities like sensitivity, creativity and togetherness, the children of Class Prep were encouraged to draw and colour a picture of their favourite festival. With so many festivals to celebrate, it was amazing to see the children speak confidently about their favourite festival. The activity was a step towards bringing the students closer to each other’s cultural beliefs and develop respect and understanding for each other’s customs and traditions.
