The students of class II of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh were apprised of the importance of safety and first aid during their online classes. They were explained the importance of first aid as it is the emergency care given immediately to an injured person until appropriate medical treatment can be accessed in a hospital or before going to a doctor.
To raise awareness about safety and first aid, they were shown different videos. The students were also made aware that a first aid box is a collection of supplies and equipment that is used to give medical treatment and it should be kept in the right place with the right up-to-date items.
Making of first aid box activity was conducted wherein the students were explained about the usage and importance of the items contained in a first aid box. This activity helped children learn how to make their own first aid box that can enable them to care of themselves in any kind of emergency.
