The Pre- primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated Diwali and Children’s Day with great joy and enthusiasm during the online classes. The children were told about the significance of Children’s Day which is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal who believed that children who are the future of the nation should be carefully and lovingly nurtured.
To make the day even more special the teachers and students participated in the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly. The students were told about the significance of the festival as well as the harmful effects of crackers through a PowerPoint presentation. The little ones were seen eagerly participating in various fun- filled games and craft activities.
They were also reminded to have a safe and environment friendly Diwali .Keeping in mind the pandemic restrictions they were encouraged to opt for virtual greetings to ensure safety.
