Under the direction given by Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh, The National Girl Child Week was celebrated in DPS Chandigarh. Various activities like Essay writing, Poster making and Slogan writing were organized during the whole week.
Today, a special morning assembly was conducted to celebrate the ‘National Girl Child Day’ A brief talk was given on the subject and the school Principal Mrs Reema Deewan, to reaffirm full support of the DPS students and faculty conducted a pledge and all wore pink to demonstrate their whole –hearted support to end discrimination against our girls and empower them with equal opportunities.
This day is celebrated every year on January 24th across the country. Its objective is to provide maximum support and facilities to the girls of the country in every respect.
