On the occasion of World Health Day, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh organized a session on Balanced Diet for the children of classes 4 & 5. Ms. Pooja Dogra, a dietician and member of IDA delivered the talk. She told about the components of balanced diet and stressed on the importance of having breakfast daily. The children were made aware of the health problems created by eating junk food.She also emphasised on the fact that healthy eating habits are associated with better classroom behaviour and improved concentration. The children were encouraged to carry a nutritious tiffin to the school. A team of students presented a skit on eating healthy and avoiding junk food. This held the audience captivated and conveyed the message to the children in a humorous way.
