On the occasion of World Health Day, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh organized a session on Balanced Diet for the children of classes 3 & 4. Ms. Reema Bhatia, a dietitian at Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh delivered the talk. She told about the components of balanced diet and stressed on the importance of having breakfast daily. The children were made aware of the health problems created by eating junk food. She also emphasized on the fact that healthy eating habits are associated with better classroom behaviour and improved concentration. The children were encouraged to carry healthy tiffin to the school.
