Students of Class VIII of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated their class show and Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2016-17.Mr Ashok Kumar Meena, Director-cum-Special Secretary Panchayats and Rural Development & Municipal Commissioner, Panchkula graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The entire show, weaved and presented a wishful thinking of students for a journey to find their place under the brighter sky seeking the growth of all and making this world better and happier for all. Around 300 students participated and presented their desires through a song, qawwali, poetry, dance presentations, and a segment of dramatic expressions. The young achievers were felicitated and applauded for excelling in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
The chief guest, Mr. Ashok Kumar Meena, in his motivational speech urged the students to build up a career based on their passion and try to give back to the society to the best of their abilities.
The Principal, Mrs. Reema Dewan in her address reiterated the school philosophy of reaching out to each child and tap his potential to make them confident to face the challenges of the world. She hoped that students would be successful in carving out ‘Ek Naya Aasman’ for themselves and create something worthwhile to make this world a better place.
