Session on Balanced diet at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh

On the occasion of World Health Day, a session on Balanced Diet was organised for the children of classes 4 and 5 in Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. Ms. Reema Bhatia, a dietitian at Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh was invited to deliver the talk. The children were made aware of the importance of a balanced diet and the health problems created by eating junk food. She stressed on the importance of breakfast as it acts as a perfect fuel to start the day. She also emphasised on the fact that healthy eating habits are associated with both classroom behaviour and improved concentration. The children were encouraged to carry healthy tiffin to the school.
