Delhi Public School Chandigarh organized a screening camp for refractory errors and other eye ailments for children of Class I on 15th May 2015 in the school premises. Dr. Suresh Gupta, Consultant from Department of Ophthalmology, Government College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh led a team of doctors and optometrists. Children were told about the importance of balanced diet and eye care. He emphasized on screening of children between 5-8 years of age for early detection of problems to avoid vision loss due to “Amblyopia or lazy eye”. Principal Mrs. Reema Dewan told the children that healthy eyes are essential for a good quality of life.
