Delhi Public School Chandigarh celebrated ‘International Girls in ICT Week’ in the school premises from 20th to 24th April 2015.
The school was witness to a host of interesting and fun-filled activities throughout the week. Audio-Visuals highlighting the role of women in the ICT scenario were showcased to the students of Class VII. Girl students were made aware of various career opportunities that await them in the IT world.
The morning assembly had interesting news about the Girls in ICT initiative spoken by the students. The poster-making and bookmark-making competition held in classes also saw many creative ideas taking shape.
The Principal, Ms Reema Dewan, applauded the efforts of the Computer Department and emphasized the need for holding more such events to motivate students to choose IT as a career.
