DPS Chandigarh wore a festive look as its Pre-Primary section celebrated it’s Annual Day on the 18th & 19th of October, 2012 with great enthusiasm.
The evening began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the school Principal Ms. Reema Dewan and parents.
The apogee of the evening unfolded in the form of a ballet ‘Ek thi Rajkumari – Meera’ a tribute to Meerabai. The bhajans, songs and episodes of Meerabai’s life presented a walkthrough Rajasthan’s traditions, culture and life style in bhakti era. Colourful costumes and beautifully designed sets added vibrancy to the show.
The students infused life in the dance drama with their excellent performance. It was heartening to watch 507 students of classes I and II perform on the stage.
The celebration came to a spectacular end with the curtain call where all the participants stood in unison amidst cheers and applauds.
