Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, hosted teachers from Westkirby Primary School, Wirral UK who were on a week-long visit to the school as part of an exchange programme between the two schools. This cultural and educational exchange programme which falls under the DFID Global School Partnership Programme aims at building bridges between schools of India and UK.
Ms. Catheline and Ms. Heather from Westkirby School, UK conducted classroom sessions with teachers and students to share the teaching techniques followed in UK schools. The school too planned and conducted several activities to give an insight into the teaching methodologies followed in the school. A food festival and several cultural events were organized to give them glimpses of Indian culture, music, art and dance.
