The Pre-Primary Wing of Delhi Public School put up a spectacular show ‘Chaupal’ on 28th and 29th February, 2012. Mr. Abhishek Dev, IAS, Joint Secretary Home, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Based on the folktales, it was a colourful presentation dripping with traditions and customs of our country. The show was an enthralling experience wherein the tiny tots took the audience to the villages of Bihar, UP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Stories told and retold by the elders through generations were enacted out. The children cast a magical spell on the audience with their captivating performance with colourful dances and vibrant costumes. It was heartening to watch 350 students of Prep and Nursery perform on the stage.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Abhishek Dev praised the efforts of the school for such a spectacular and wonderful show.
